We have no puppies available at this time.
Happy Holidays! I can't believe it's been over 2 months since we brought Bo home. He is such a great puppy and has brought so much joy to our family, especially me!! He is truly the best boy!
He has the most wonderful personality and tempermant. He is loving and friendly and so excited to meet everyone he sees! He is very well behaved, and knows and loves his routine. We walk every morning and play ball in the yard, take walks in the state park and sometimes have play dates with our puppies. He loves his playdates the most! I take him with me, when I can, to socialize him and he loves it. People often stop me to tell me how good looking he is, and he thanks them by licking and kissing them!
Thank you for all the work you put into breeding your dogs. We could not be happier with our boy!! Christmas came early this year!!! Best to you and your family!! |
Bo is around 35 lbs now and growing wonderfully. He just finished puppy kindergarden and received his AKC puppy star! He was the star of the class! He will begin the next level next week. He is also potty trained, crate trained and goes happily in his crate every night to sleep.

I hope all is well and that you survived the snow storm. I just wanted to take a minute and tell you how incredibly amazing Charlie is! He is six months old now and weighing in at 64 pounds already, he is going to be a very big boy! He is extremely handsome, all English. No one can resist stopping to meet him and give him some love!
Charlie has the most beautiful temperament of all my labs. He is so sweet and calm. My daughter and him are completely inseparable and they do literally everything together. Since the day we brought him home he has been so patient with her. She likes to wrap him up in her blanket and tuck him into bed with all of her toys and then snuggle up on him while he just lays there and falls asleep. He is also very protective and does not like anyone to rough house with her and he deliberately blocks her from going up or down the stairs. |
Charlie seems to be an old soul in his puppy body. I have had dogs my whole life but never a puppy that essentially acted like a grown up. He goes everywhere with us and loves going to the park. We hang back when my daughter plays on the playground and kids just flock to meet him and is always happy to see them and very very gentle.
As you know, my first lab will forever have a very special piece of my heart, but I think Charlie may be headed for the same place which I did not think possible. I am so grateful that you were willing to part with him and I just wanted to let you know how much we love him and spoil him rotten!
It has been way too long and I hope all is well with you. I wanted to give you an update on Charlie now that he is 2 years old!!!! To tell you that he is amazing would be an understatement. When I sent you my last update I told you how enamored him and my daughter were with each other, but now Charlie has 2 little girls to take care of! My 3 year old and my 1 year old and Charlie are inseparable. He is their friend, their pillow, and is even my little one's walker!
He has the sweetest most gentle nature of any dog I have ever known. His temperament is such that he has become our neighborhoods mascot for all of the kids, even the ones that are scared of dogs, to come and spend time with him. In fact on Halloween we have kids come to trick-or-treat at our house and tell us they don't want candy but come just to see Charlie!
I feel that he would make the perfect therapy dog, especially for children. He has a way about him that just makes you feel as though he is an old soul that just knows. He knows exactly what any particular person needs in any given situation. It is difficult to explain so hopefully I am not sounding crazy! I had a Newfoundland years ago that I trained to be a therapy dog and we spent our time in senior centers and at a children's hospital in Philadelphia. My goal is to do this with Charlie at some point when the kids are bit older.
Despite the love that my girls and Charlie share, he is without a doubt my baby boy. Charlie is truly one of a kind. After all I went through with my last two labs, I am so grateful for Charlie because he was absolutely meant to be in my life. He is treated like a king (when he isn't being the babysitter).
He does everything with us from swimming to hiking to playing on slides at the playground with the girls! He gets to go to daycare 3 days a week so that he can just be a dog and have fun with his pup friends too. I can't thank you enough for Charlie, he means the world to our family, and there is not a thing I would change about him!

Here are some photos of Chief Hodgson born January 30, 2013 - Bruno and Willow. He is just an awesome guy! He weighed in at 50lbs last week and is a star everywhere he goes. He is super smart - can open doors and walks off leash already. And, he gets so many compliments for being so handsome (as my dad Bruno - a spitting image) and so well mannered as a puppy. Thank you again for guidance in choosing a puppy for us!

I hope you are well and enjoying the snow. Thought we would send you a recent picture of Chief (Bruno & Willow) out walking in the rain ( rain & snow are his favorite conditions). He has just turned 3 yrs old and continues to bring much fun & laughter to our family & as you can see is more handsome the older he gets. We continue to tell people who ask as we walk where we got such a great looking dog! |
Time certainly flies – I can’t believe it’s been 1 month since I brought Hannah home. She’s doing wonderfully. Each week we try a few new experiences, and none have seemed to rattle her. Last week we went for a walk in the park, a walk in town, visited a sick family member, and went to an outlet center to watch all the people shopping. She rides in the car beautifully – lies down and goes to sleep as soon as she gets in. Nothing seems to rattle her – she had her second trip to the farm this past weekend. She rides around in the UTV to work on field chores with us – she has no issues being strapped in, she lies on the floor and goes to sleep as we drive through the fields.
She also went fishing this weekend, and is currently deciding whether or not she likes water – she’s intrigued by it right now. The ponds are cold, so I gave her a small bin of water that she promptly got in and walked around in. We might try a kiddie pool this week if it’s warm enough, and then move on to a stream as the weather gets nicer. She gets along well with other dogs, chews only her toys, is learning to fetch, and is definitely a fan of her bed, pillow and blankets – this little girl likes comfort and any sunny spot she can find in the house. When we sit out on the patio at night, she curls up at our feet with her bone. This week she starts puppy kindergarten.
As you can see, this girl loves her time outdoors. On the farm, she does well on staying with me, so is able to be off leash most of the time for our walks. She loves helping in the blueberry patch, walks in the woods, fields and meadows, and anything relating to water. She’s gone for very short walks on the Appalachian trail and has usually used her best puppy manners if we encounter other hikers. She rides beautifully in the car – she gets in, lays down, and doesn’t get up until we arrive, whether it’s 15 minutes or 4 hours.
It took her until almost 6 months to decide that she liked water. At first she walked around puddles and avoided streams, then she gradually decided they were OK. Then she decided getting in the shower and bathtub with anyone, particularly my grandson, was great fun, so I bought her a kiddie pool which she thoroughly enjoyed. After that she discovered that she could actually swim in the deeper waters of the farm ponds. Now swimming is the high point of her day. After playing fetch in the water, she lays at the side of the pond and chews her bone while I swim.
Hannah starts her second obedience class this week – we took a break over the busiest portion of the summer. She does forget her manners and becomes over excited when people or other dogs come to visit, I think typical puppy behavior, so we’ll be working on that. |
She was spayed last month. She was the best behaved patient in the vet’s office, and thus, ended up being the last surgery of the day. Since she was so good, she joined the vet techs in their office, sleeping under their desks while they worked, and under the picnic table when they had their lunch.
Hannah celebrated her first birthday earlier this week. She continues to be a real joy and lovely addition to our family. She goes to day care occasionally and loves playing with the other dogs, and particularly likes it in the summer when they have swimming. She had an extended stay there in November while we were away on vacation, and she did very well. She was not stressed at all about being left. She does well on her off-leash walks around the farm, and will start more serious trail hiking with me this spring.
As you can see from the photos, she’s a constant companion of my granddaughter, when she visits. My granddaughter was rolling out dog biscuits in one of the photos, and Hannah is very good about not taking anything off the kiddie table. As you predicted, this dog is very social. There are no strangers in her world, only friends she hasn’t met yet.
